My Process:
For this project I was given the Assignment to create an image based on “Moment of Original Manifestation” (a significant or impactful event in my life), which then will become an album cover.
For my image I based it on a memory of going to Coney Island for the first time. I felt so much joy and it being a perfect day. The first song I remember hearing when I stepped on the boardwalk was the song “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon Five. So I wanted to create an image with a similar vibe to the song.

With additions and more Ducks:
I tried added the rollercoaster and signs to the image. Then I decided to play around with the amount of ducks.
For the final part of the assignment we had to place the photo into a Spotify page as a hypothetical album cover. You can see this edit below.

Draft or plans to add to photo:
I used the pen tool to plan out how I should design the sides of the album. I wanted to add a something round like a roller coaster to bottom right and add a carnival sign to the top left to really incorporate the vibes of being on Coney Island and playing fair games.

Originally, I wasn’t going to use childhood photos of myself but, my professor heavily suggested it in the project description. I looked on my mom’s Facebook page and downloaded a few photos that I could find from around the same time I first visited Coney Island. When I imported the photos into Photoshop they glitched and came out purple and distorted. Though this was a major mistake I decided to work with it.
